About the Club

We are a hockey family - for sure. A BIG one! The Northeast Storm Hockey Club was started in 2005 to serve the needs of Central Ohio high school-aged youth with competitive hockey league play.

But what is Club Hockey? As there are only 15 high schools in this area that have their own team, what happens to all the other players from the hundreds of other schools that don't have a hockey program? That's where Club Hockey comes in! Players are distributed to Club teams based on what school district they live in. If that school doesn't have a team, or they are cut from a school team, they are eligible to play Club hockey.

Since our founding, we have been a member of the Ohio Scholastic Hockey League and we currently serve 18 school districts within a 26 mile radius of Columbus Ohio. The list of our school districts on the right is from the OSHL league website, where you can find all of the other distribution lists for the other clubs.

Our goal is to provide a fun, safe environment to build hockey skills and improve hockey aptitude and love of the game. This is Club Hockey - welcome to The Storm!

The Northeast Storm Hockey Club is a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit designation from the Internal Revenue Service. 100% of member fees and donations go to hockey operations for the club.
